3 RUNNERS FOR VIRGIN LONDON MARATHON - APRIL 26TH

We are so excited this year to have not 1, not 2, but 3 spaces for the London Marathon.  A big huge THANK YOU firstly goes to Children First International for providing two of the Marathon spaces to CSSEF, which CSSEF pays the fee's for the spaces.  We met Colin Mansell, the founder of Children First International last year at a Lions Convention and we are forever thankful for this wonderful opportunity.

We applied for a Charity Space in the London Marathon Ballot and we were lucky enough to receive our very own spot.

Our three runners are:

Paul Johnston-Naylor, the Uncle of Chloe and Sophie.  Wendy Scott and Angie Wright.  Please show your love to these runners and spare a few £'s if you can by taking a look at their fundraising pages.

Please wave and cheer if you see them running a very long way to raise pennies for CSSEF.

ONE OF OUR FUNDRAISERS TELLS US WHY THEY SUPPORT CSSEF

Paul, one of our London Marathon Runners, has let us know his WHY.

"I have done what I can over the years for CSSEF to help it grow, raise money & awareness. Being selected to be the first man to represent this charity at the London Marathon is an honour and privilege. I was ready to turn my back on running in 2016 due to an emotional end to 2015 but knowing I can make a difference and do it for a charity close to my heart I couldn't turn it down. Yes I am the Uncle to Chloe & Sophie but I am Karen's big brother and I couldn't let her down. I never have and I never will do. Thank you to everyone for their support and may it continue. "

FLEET & DISTRICT CARNIVAL - CSSEF IS THE CHOSEN CHARITY

We are thrilled to be the chosen charity for the Fleet & District Carnival.  This will, of course, help raise some pennies for our charity.  Every PENNY that goes into those buckets along the carnival procession and at the event go to CSSEF.  So please, come along, and throw in lots of loose change.

We are so excited that we are chosen as this is a huge opportunity for CSSEF to be visually seen.  We will be taking part in the Carnival Procession and aim to be very colourful!

Fleet Carnival 2016 will take place 1st -3rd July 2016, with the main Grand Procession on Saturday 2nd July.  The theme for the Grand Procession will be Rio.

So make sure to keep your diary clear so you can come and join in the fun, and in the meantime keep an eye on their website for more details.
