WISHES WE GRANT

WEESIE PAL

A Weesie Pal is a customisable plush doll with special accessories including BAHA (bone anchored hearing aid), hearing aids and a cochlear implant. They are all hand embroidered and made to suit each child. They come as different animals e.g. fox monkey dog etc.

RADIO AID

Aids work with the users’ hearing aid, cochlear implant processer or just headphones. A transmitter is worn by the person speaking and the receiver is worn by the person listening. This system allows complete freedom of movement as it is wireless. We can fund these if you cannot get them through your local authority.

SOUND FIELD SYSTEM

A Sound Field System is a sound system for schools that improves the learning environment for the entire class by improving the sound environment in the classroom. Designed specifically for speech sounds, these systems greatly enhance speech understanding.

SOUND ACOUSTIC BOARDS

An Acoustic Board is a special kind of board made of sound absorbing materials. Its job is to provide sound insulation. Between two outer walls sound absorbing material is inserted and the wall is porous.

RUG AND HESSIAN

A thick pile rug is used to reduce the echoes in a classroom. Hessian is placed behind notice boards in a classroom. This is to improve the sound acoustics.

VIBRATING WATCH

A Vibrating watch is made for people who have a hearing loss. The watch is made to vibrate at a certain times, as an alarm or a reminder. An alarm can be set as a reminder for school usage such as lunch time bell, class movement and home time etc.

VIBRATING ALARM CLOCK

A Vibrating Alarm clock is specialised in having a louder noise as the alarm or has a vibrating mode where you slip a couple of pads under the pillow so the vibration wakes you up in the morning without disturbing anyone else. We provide these for children who are normally in boarding school.
